University and Extra-University Scholarships

Scholarships are also available from extra-university foundations. Details regarding these scholarships are available on the Scholarship Department’s website and in electronic messages sent periodically to the School's research students, based on information received by the Academic Secretary.

 

The School’s Scholarships and Grants

 

Living Expense Grants:

The school provides several grants annually to research students for living expenses. Students receive grants based on academic excellence and the progress made in their research. The School will provide 9.5 living expense grants to outstanding doctoral students during 2019.

Furthermore, the School offers lump sum scholarships to graduate and doctoral students. Sponsored by various foundations, these include the Yoran-Schnitzer Foundation, Yaniv, Yaakobi, Sadan, and Bubis scholarships.

Balaban-Glass Scholarships for outstanding applicants for master's Degree– A new round of scholarships will open upon registration for the 2019-2020 academic year.

The Nehemia Levtzion Scholarship for Outstanding Doctoral Students from the Periphery:

Levtzion scholarships are granted to outstanding doctoral students from the periphery by the Council for Higher Education. For further information and scholarship application forms see below:

 

Planning and Budgeting Committee scholarships for outstanding post-doctoral students from the Arab community, 2019

The Planning and Budgeting Committee offers scholarships to outstanding post-doctoral students from the Arab community, who are interested in traveling abroad for advanced post-doctoral studies. For further information and application forms, see below.

 

Rothschild Post-Doctoral Scholarships for 2019-2020

The Rothschild Foundation's post-doctoral scholarships are intended for outstanding doctoral students of any age (Israeli residents with PhD degrees, or doctoral students nearing the completion of their PhD studies), for the purpose of studying or conducting research at institutions of higher education abroad, during 2019-2020. 13 scholarships will be awarded in the fields of Engineering, Life Sciences, Exact Sciences and Medicine, and 9 scholarships will be awarded in the fields of Humanities, Social Sciences, Management and Law.

 

The "Dan David" Prize Scholarships

The "Dan David" Prize Scholarships are awarded in the following fields of research:

  • History of Science
  • Bioethics
  • Personalized Medicine
