About the ACIS Program
Established in 2018 under the auspices of The Iranian American Jewish Federation of New York and operating within the Alliance Center for Iranian Studies, the Iranian Jewish Studies Program aims to advance historical research on the immigration and absorption processes of Iranian immigrants in Israel. For this purpose, the program operates on two levels that are mutually complementary. First, building a research infrastructure by gathering oral evidence from Iranian immigrants in Israel, mapping the sources scattered today between various archives and collections in Israel related to the immigration of Jews from Iran to Israel and their absorption process. At the same time, while drawing on the material collected, the program will initiate research activities and assist researchers and students interested in writing research papers on the subject.
